Mogga May
Tony Mowbray now had a chance to see his team play home and away. In this time we have picked up a home win and our first away win of the season. I’m pleased we have got our first away win out of the way.
Tony picked the squad up which was low in confidence, give the players and fans belief. After a terrible time it’s nice to go to games and believe we will get something. That’s how I approach the games now.
Sunday game at Swansea we set up hard to beat and looked liking getting a well earned point. A deflected goal costed us in the end, listening on radio it seemed like was always going to be a 0-0 or 1-0 either side game. It’s a defeat to take heart from.
Can I just praise the away support at Scunthorpe it was a great away day and I was a proud Boro fan leaving Glanford Park. We sang non-stop! Done ourselves and Teesside proud. I could hear the Boro fans at Swansea on the radio as well. Welldone!
The aim now is to get back to back home wins. Showing the togetherness on and off the pitch, battling, fighting sprit as in previous games. We can achieve this. We welcome Marvin Emnes back, Marvin could be like a new signing. He will be full of confidence after his successful loan at Swansea last month.
We know a few wins in this league and you do move a few places. The short term aim to get into the top half of the table. Collect points home and away which I believe we will. Then why not aim for 6th. I certainty believe it’s achievable come May. First we must get some consistency!
